This estate grown coffee comes from the Minas Gerais region in southeastern Brazil. One of the largest states in the country and the main producer of coffee. The name itself is said to mean “General Mines” as the area is known for spectacular cavern systems and many working mineral mines.

The coffee itself is not your typical Brazil, the acidity comes through at first but then mellows into a low note nuttiness and finishes with the smooth milk chocolate tone.

We roast this coffee to “Full City” just touching on second crack to mute some of the acidity this develops the sweetness and body for a great balance.
